When I think back to my first solo trip this summer I remember feeling excited, but also nervous and a little confused. Booking buses, trains, hotels, hostels, etc. can seem hard when you lack experience. Which is where I was at the beginning of the summer. Yet, after several weekend trips I felt like a more experience traveler. I'm still no expert, but definitely better off than 6 weeks ago. Traveling this summer has taught me to always have a plan B (and maybe a plan C). It has taught me to always carry enough cash, not to over pack, and that there's no shame in running to catch your train. But most importantly to not forget to sit back and enough the ride!
