Grado night life

On Thursday night I went to my first beach party in Grado. The beach parties happen every Thursday and Sunday at a bar on the beach and it is such a fun atmosphere to be apart of. In Grado, and probably Italy in general, things get started pretty late and it’s normal for young people to go out late at night. Seeing the nightlife in Grado has been really fun because I think it’s an important part of the social life of other people our age. There are definitely more and more people in Grado than before, with the summer crowd coming from all over Europe. At the beach parties, we meet people our age from all over Europe, including Austria, Germany, and other parts of Italy. It’s crazy to me how most Europeans speak English or are at least bilingual in some fashion. It’s also really fun to experience meeting new people while still hanging out with everyone in our class in a different and fun setting. We get to casually hang out with our teacher and tutor and just get to know them better without the classroom setting. It’s been really fun experiencing Grado in a new light and getting to see the city change throughout the month that we’ve been here! It is hard to believe that the program is over halfway done; we still have so much to learn and experience and I’m so excited for what’s to come.
